"Unfriend" is word of the year

The New Oxford American Dictionary announced that 'unfriend' is 2009's word of the year. Oxford defines 'unfriend' as "to remove someone as a 'friend' on a social networking site such as Facebook." For more information visit http://blog.oup.com/2009/11/unfriend/.
